Gilgamboa to go the point route Grade One-winning chaser Gilgamboa is to try his hand in point-to-point company again in the coming weeks. The nine-year-old was well beaten on his first attempt between the flags at Castletown-Geoghegan last month, finishing fifth. That was his first outing since being brought down in the Hilly Way Chase at Cork last December. Trainer Enda Bolger is hoping JP McManus' charge can improve enough from his comeback run to earn his place in hunter chases this season. Gilgamboa won the Ryanair Gold Cup at Fairyhouse back in April 2015. "He'll have another shot at a point-to-point as we might go the hunter chase route with him and he has to win one, or be placed, to get qualified," said Bolger.
