Gimcrack Update Aidan O'Brien's Peter Tchaikovsky appears among 22 entries for the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Gimcrack Stakes at York on Wednesday. The son fo Dansili got off the mark at the first time of asking at Naas, but has since struggled in Pattern company on his last two starts, beaten in the Coventry Stakes at Ascot and the Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh. Coventry Stakes hero Art Connoisseur could bid to regain the winning thread having been outpointed by O'Brien's Mastercraftsman in the Phoenix Stakes last time. Richard Fahey is currently double-handed with Deadly Secret and Master Noverre, while Jeremy Noseda may saddle Parisian Art. Mark Johnston has supplemented Weatherstaff for the Group Two contest, while Spin Cycle and Prolific are also among the possibles at this stage. Tom Dascombe is under no illusions as to the task facing emphatic Newbury winner Marine Boy in the race. The fledgling trainer said: "He's in really good shape and we have been very happy with him since Newbury. He was very impressive that day and I have made no secret of that fact that I think he is the best horse I've got but we'll see next week. "I think he will have to be better than Classic Blade and Firth Of Fifth as this looks a very hot race but I'm looking forward to it."
