Gizi Gazelle rewarded strong support with a decisive victory in the extended seven furlong handicap.

The Fast Company filly was never far from the pace under Declan McDonogh.

Her jockey asked for more coming to the final furlong and she readily swept through to hit the front.

The favourite was ridden out to assert by four lengths at 5/1 having been backed from 7/1 to 3/1 during the day. Art Of America (11/2), Queen Rabab (6/1) and Downtown Diva (11/2) all gave their their each-way backers a return in second, third and fourth respectively.

Co Tipperary handler Eamonn O'Connell said: "She liked the ground. She ran on well in Cork the last day, when she was short of a bit of room, and we were hoping she'd improve.

“We thought we were a bit unlucky the last day but we're happy now.

“If the ground stays soft she'll run again in a few weeks time. When it gets good we'll put her away. She wants it soft or yielding.

“We like her and she seems to be improving.”
