Glen in quest for Navan spoils Old-timer Glenquest bids to record his third victory of the season by beating four younger rivals in the Newgrange Veterans Handicap Chase at Navan on Sunday. Stuart Crawford's 12-year-old has enjoyed a superb campaign, winning twice over hurdles and also finishing third behind Emperor's Choice in the Coral Welsh National. Following his latest success over the smaller obstacles at Down Royal, Glenquest reverts to fences off a career-high mark of 128 as he attempts to improve on his fourth in this race 12 months ago. Tony Martin has an interesting runner in No Secrets, who makes his first appearance for the County Meath handler having left David Pipe's stable. "He came to us around Christmas time. He's done a nice bit of work and is definitely ready for a run," said Martin. The 11-year-old has three handicap entries at Cheltenham, including the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup. "We'll see how he gets on first at Navan and take it from there," said Martin. "We'll know a lot more after Sunday and we haven't thought beyond that yet." Top weight will be carried by Letter Of Credit from Jimmy Mangan's stable, while Pauline Gavin's Ad Idem and Eddie Harty's Like Your Style make up the quintet.
