Glen strikes for Dawson at Chepstow

There was one Irish raider at Chepstow this evening and the Sarah Dawson trained Clare Glen made the journey across the Irish Sea worthwhile, winning easily.

The Sakhee filly who started her career with Lee Smyth was having just her third run for Dawson who trains in Banbridge, Co Down.

Tom McLaughlin settled the 4yo towards the rear before going for home around three furlongs out and then hitting the front and being pushed out to win by six lengths.

The victory was Dawson’s second track winner after she trained Penolva to win at Bellewstown earlier this month.
