Johnny Murtagh expects Yuften to bounce back from a disappointing display on his latest start when he returns to the fray in the Coral.ie Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday.

Murtagh cannot work out why the five-year-old entire finished in the ruck in the Listed Owenstown Stakes at Naas won by Anamba, but is happy with him now and looking for a bold showing.

"It didn't work out for him in Naas last time. He was a bit disappointing," said the County Kildare handler.

"I don't what happened there. It was a messy race and a bit rough.

"All the signs are he's back in good form and it would be lovely to win a Listed race with him.

"I'm hoping he can show his true colours tomorrow."

Yuften's seven rivals include two horses who also ran in the Naas contest - Michael Halford's Orcia (who was fourth) and Ger Lyons' Tennessee Wildcat (sixth)

David Marnane's Elleval will be having his first run since spending the winter in Dubai while John Oxx's Pour Deux and the Tommy Stack-trained pair of Hurricane Cass and Current State complete the line-up.
