Global Racing rewarded favourite backers in the extended two mile seven handicap chase at Downpatrick.

His task was made easier when front-running (and gambled-on) Tara Mia unseated Donagh Meyler two out when the saddle slipped.

Global Racing looked to have her measure anyway as he closed right up on her at that obstacle.

From there, he sailed in by five and a half lengths at 6/4. I'm An Izz Wizz could make no impression in second at 8/1. Ballybrowney Jack was a neck away in third at 9/1.

Trainer Gavin Cromwell said: "Look he has been consistent and he was entitled to win some day.

"He jumped great and we will find something similar again.

"He's game and he is what he is, he's a grand horse at a level."
