Go Another One is on course to step up in trip at Aintree for the Doom Bar Sefton Novices' Hurdle on Friday.

John McConnell's seven-year-old has been ultra-consistent all season and returned to action after a 107-day break to win a Grade Three at Thurles last time out.

He will be racing over further than he has in his career to date and in deeper company, but McConnell feels he has little to lose.

"He has been good since his win at Thurles, we’ve kept him ticking over,” said the County Meath handler.

"At the minute he is going to Aintree on Friday for the Sefton over three miles.

"Anything he does now is a bonus because he will be going chasing in the summer.

"We'll just have a crack at this big pot now. It’s a question whether the three miles will get any improvement out of him.”
