The ground at the Curragh has deteriorated to Yielding to Soft on the straight course and Yielding on the round course. It had been Good on the round course and Good to Yielding in places in the straight.

The feature on today's seven-race fixture is the Group One Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas at 5.40pm.

Early money in the Classic has arrived for Michael O'Callaghan's Blue De Vega who is 8/1 from 11/1. He won at Group Three level in Leopardstown last season and made his seasonal reappearance when runner-up in the Tetrarch here at the start of the month. The winner of that Listed contest, Awtaad reopposes today.

The favourite is Hugo Palmer's raider Galileo Gold at a generally available 13/8. He was the winner of the Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Elsewhere on the card, the unbeaten Don't Touch bids for a seven timer when he contests the Group Two Greenlands Stakes at 5.05pm. He has been backed from 11/8 to even money.

Aidan O'Brien 's Dundalk winner Caravaggio has shortened to 8/11 from evens for the Listed Marble Hill Stakes (4.30pm).
