Going updates for Listowel & Fairyhouse

Listowel race on the Flat today and tomorrow ahead of its Kerry National centrepiece on Wednesday, and the ground remains yielding, yielding to soft in places.

It's still good, good to yielding in places (National Hunt) with watering taking place today.

It's set to be mainly dry today and tonight with a chance of showers tomorrow evening and on Wednesday morning (1-2mm approx).

An eight-race card starts at 1.23pm.

There's also Flat action today at Fairyhouse where the Listed Blenheim Stakes at 5.57 is the feature on a seven-race programme.

The easy-to-back Marco Polo and Livenka are disputing morning favouritism for that six-furlong contest.

Following 7.5mm of rain over the weekend, the ground remains good, good to firm in places with a dry and mild day in store.

Most jockeys are sticking to one card at the other, but it's interesting to see that apprentice-title leader Sam Coen rides Zaraahmando in the 1.53 at Listowel and then heads (hopefully by air!) to Fairyhouse where Shesthedevil in the opener at 3.50 is the first of his four rides at the Meath venue.
