Today's action from Gowran Park is an all flat affair with the likes of Aidan O'Brien, Dermot Weld, David Wachman and Willie Mullins all fresh from recent Royal Ascot success with runners on the seven-race card.

There are some light showers this morning at the Co. Kilkenny venue but the forecast is to soon clear for a dry and bright afternoon, and the going remains good to firm.

The first race gets underway at 2.15pm, with 24,000 euro on offer in the featured www.gowranpark.ie Handicap at 3.45pm.

National Hunt racing will be the focus of attention at Kilbeggan tomorrow evening where ground on the watered midlands track is currently described as good to firm.

Flat racing then takes over for the remainder of the week leading up to the three-day Derby Festival meeting at the Curragh next weekend.

Ballinrobe, where racing takes place on the old course on Tuesday, has also been watered and the situation is being monitored regarding any further watering as some showers are forecast. The ground is currently good.

The Curragh is good to firm at present with watering also taking place.
