It will be good to see owners back racing in Ireland this afternoon, and the ground at Gowran, for an eight race Flat card starting at 1.50pm, is good, good to yielding in places with a mild and dry forecast for today.

Listowel’s three day fixture concludes with a jumps card (eight races) getting under way at 1.35pm and the going description is good, good to yielding in places after no rain overnight.

The track was watered instead, overnight, and the forecast is for a mainly dry day with a chance of light showers.

It looks like fast ground will be prevalent later in the week, with good to firm, or some variation thereof, in the going descriptions at Cork (Wednesday), Leopardstown (Thursday), and Friday’s meetings at Fairyhouse and Clonmel, and watering is taking place at all these tracks.
