Killarney's August Festival gets under way today and the going is is now good, good to yielding in places (National Hunt course) and good (on Flat track) after 3.5mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

There is the possibility of approximately 1-2mm of rain today, mainly dry thereafter. The track is monitoring the situation regarding watering on the National Hunt course.

This evening's eight-race National-Hunt card starts at 4.35pm.

Pat Foley's Gino Bella is gunning for a hat-trick in the GMIB Handicap Hurdle (5.08).

There is action on the Flat in Leopardstown from 4.56 and the ground is good to firm, good in places after 3.5mm of rain since declarations.

Heavy showers are expected this morning with temperatures up to 17 degrees. The track is monitoring the situation in relation to watering.

Dermot Weld's Galway winner Abbotsford heads the market for the Listed Vinnie Roe Stakes (6.30).
