Goldikova could have Hong Kong finale Freddie Head has suggested Goldikova could round off her unforgettable career in the Hong Kong Mile at the end of this year. The Frenchman is in Dubai to saddle Rajsaman and Marinous for the World Cup meeting but his record-breaking mare is never far from his mind. It was decided to keep Goldikova in training to better her unsurpassed three Breeders' Cup Mile wins, while she has already collected more Group Ones than any other European trained horse. And encouragingly, she appears to still have the appetite at six years old. "She is as well as she has ever been," said Head. "On her first day back on the gallops, you'd have thought she had been there all winter. "She had a little break at her owners' place in Normandy. She's not an old lady yet, she still wants to run and is still the same. She's a horse you have once in your life." Outlining plans, Head continued: "I think we are going to try to run in the same races as last year. "She could start off in the Prix d'Ispahan and then she will be entered for the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot. One of the big plans is the Jacques Le Marois again and the Breeders' Cup. "If she wins the Breeders' Cup she could go on to Hong Kong to finish her career, as she has not won that before."
