Goodwood on Zalty's radar David Marnane is hoping Zalty can develop into a contender for the Qatar Stewards' Cup at Glorious Goodwood. The Co Tipperary trainer intends to the run the five-year-old in a sprint handicap at the Curragh during Irish Derby weekend first after being resigned to the fact Zalty is virtually certain to miss the cut for the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot next Saturday. Marnane was pleased with Zalty's return from a near nine-month absence when he was fourth at Tipperary last week and forecasts a bright future for the Elusive City gelding. "Zalty came out of his race well at Tipperary and is one for the future," said Marnane. "He'll run at Derby weekend in a five-furlong race. He could be a Stewards' Cup horse.
