Gordon Lord ready for Greenlands Tom Hogan is pleased with Gordon Lord Byron ahead of his return to action this weekend in the Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh. A real globetrotter, the seven-year-old was last seen in Hong Kong running in the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup at Sha Tin in March. Prior to that he had gone close to winning the Hong Kong Sprint at the same track in December off the back of winning at Ascot on Champions Day, and it is a return to Berkshire for the Royal meeting that Hogan is targeting. "He seems in good form and the plan is the Diamond Jubilee," said Hogan. "The ground should be fine for him, hopefully we get no more rain as he prefers good ground. "This is a starting point, he's working nicely, we've had him away to work and he's going well."
