Gosden looks forward to So Mi Dar at York

So Mi Dar bids to cement her place towards the top of the ante-post betting for the Investec Oaks when she goes for the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York on Wednesday.

The superbly-bred daughter of Dubawi and triple Group One winner Dar Re Mi is only headed in the market by 1000 Guineas heroine Minding after beating subsequent Lingfield Derby Trial victor Humphrey Bogart at Epsom last month.

Trainer John Gosden said: "She's done everything right."

He added: "She's a very business-like filly but she wasn't in love with the ground at Epsom.

"She's a better horse on better ground, which she should get at York."

Promising Run represents Godolphin, but she is burdened with a 4lb penalty for winning the Group Two Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket on September.

However, she is race-fit from spending the winter in Dubai and trainer Saeed bin Suroor reports the Hard Spun filly in good shape.

"Promising Run has been in good form since coming back from Dubai and I have been pleased with her work," Bin Suroor said.

"The step up in distance will suit her and I am looking forward to seeing a good run."

Richard Hannon is looking for a better performance from Light Up Our World than at Ascot two weeks ago, when she was third to Dawn Of Hope.

"I was disappointed with her last run at Ascot - they didn't quite go quick enough there," Hannon said.

"She's a filly with ability. She's in the French Guineas and the Prix de Diane, so she will need to run well to have any sort of chance in those later engagements."

Surprisingly, Aidan O'Brien has not won the Musidora but aims to put that right with Curragh Listed scorer Best In The World.

O'Brien said: "She seemed a bit disappointing in the Salsabil at Navan last time, but Ryan (Moore) was very happy with her.

"It was a bit of a mess of a race, they only hacked and then sprinted.

"She should be able to step up from that."

Mark Johnston relies upon 1000 Guineas fourth Fireglow, with David Elsworth's Australian Queen and the Mick Channon-trained Harlequeen making up the seven runners.
