Fozzy Stack's Gotomylovely availed of an enterprising ride by Joey Sheridan to spring a 25/1 surprise in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Gowran Park.

She ploughed a lone furrow along the far rail and was well in charge in the final furlong as she scooted in by six lengths.

Runner-up Haran (4/1) led the field home along the near side from third-placed De Novo the 9/4 favourite.

Sheridan said:- “She’s actually quite straightforward. She got stage fright the first day in Dundalk and then ran well in a maiden. The last day wasn’t really to do with her at all, the bit went through her mouth and she didn’t know what to do.

“She was very straightforward there today. She’s had three runs so I used her experience, went along in front and she quickened up smartly down the straight.

“I didn’t want to go complicating things on her so I just turned in and gave her her own space. In her work at home she shows us that she quite likes having her own space, so I just kicked her down the rail and kept it straightforward.

“There is an engine there, I’ll leave it up to Fozzy and the owners what they do next.”
