Gracesolution just edged the verdict after a terrific duel with Pearl Jewel in the mile-and-a-half handicap at Dundalk.

Pearl Jewel took them along in the race but was joined by her smooth travelling rival a furlong-and-a-half from home.

The Ross O’Sullivan-trained filly took a narrow lead inside the final furlong, under Donagh O’Connor, but was all out at the line as Pearl Jewel rallied to be beaten just a nose.

6/1 winner Gracesolution was recording her first win since July 2022 and had run well on her return to action when third at the course in late January.

O'Connor said: "I thought I was up, I thought maybe my head was up as she (Pearl Jewel) was going down.

"I was there to pounce on them when I needed her. I had something to lead me in when they sprinted and she just had a little look when she got there.

"Thankfully, we were on the right side of it.

"Ross has brought her along, he does a good job with her. He had her primed for today."
