Grade 2 to savour at Limerick

The Grade 2 Guinness Greenmount Park Novice Chase has attracted an excellent line-up for Limerick's opening day highlight on St Stephen's Day.

Beau Michael, Mr Warbucks, River Liane and Sports Line were all entered in the Bord na Mona with Nature Novice Chase at Leopardstown but they instead head to Limerick for this extended two mile three furlong €50,000 contest.

Sports Line, a big Arkle Chase hope, looks a likely favourite following an excellent chasing bow at Navan. Described as a great jumper but as being a little bit hyper, Sports Line wore ear-plugs that day to help him relax on what was a windy miserable day.

Coolcashin, two years Sports Line's senior, has made a very good impression in his fencing career to date and he'll provide stern opposition for all. Faltering Fullback, a neck behind him at Thurles last time, is also in the field.

This race won't be easily won and others worthy of a mention are Dancing Tornado, Oscar Looby, Sam Adams and Swift Counsel.
