Grey too good for rivals in Gowran opener The Joseph O’Brien-trained Greydreambeliever powered clear in the closing stages to run out an impressive winner of the opening conditions race at Gowran Park this afternoon. Julian Pietropaolo bounced out and made all on the Dark Angel filly in the seven furlong contest. He asked her to assert passing the furlong pole and the 2/1 favourite stretched away late on to record a comprehensive seven length success. It was a first success for Greydreambeliever since she scored on debut for Karl Burke back in July 2024. "She had been running well and she'd run well here a few times,” said O’Brien. “Julian gave her a nice ride. His claim was a help to her. She won well in fairness. “We'd obviously love to get a bit of black type if we could. We'll see what the handicapper does after today and then we'll make a plan from there."
