Ground a worry for Memphis Joseph O'Brien is worried about the soft ground for Memphis Tennessee in Friday's Boodles Diamond Ormonde Stakes at Chester O'Brien has ridden the son of Hurricane Run in his last four starts, notably when fourth in the Investec Derby and third in the Irish Derby. The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt will be having his first race since the Curragh Classic at the end of last June. "He's in good form and it's only his first run of the season," said the young jockey. "We are very worried about the soft ground. It's an unknown for him. He's a very good-moving horse." All eyes will be on the Tom Dascombe-trained Brown Panther as he begins his four-year-old campaign. This Group Three contest has always been the intended first race of 2012 for last year's St Leger runner-up, bred and co-owned by Manchester United footballer Michael Owen. "The plan has been to come here first and we will see how we get on," said Dascombe. "Sea Moon's a non-runner and that will make things a little easier, but I'm not dismissing the others. The horse is well and I'm happy with him. "We don't really want a tactical affair, obviously. He's won round the track before so that's OK. "I will leave the tactics to Kieren (Fallon)." Sea Moon has been declared a non-runner leaving just four to go to post with Vivacious Vivienne and the unraced Calico Cat completing the line-up.
