The ground has eased at Galway ahead of next week's festival following a showery week at Ballybrit.

The going is now described as yielding, good to yielding in places on the Flat track.

Course manager John Maloney also said on Twitter today that the hurdles course is presently good, good to yielding in places.

The forecast in the west is for sunny spells and showers.
