The going for this afternoon’s meeting at Clonmel will be more testing than originally predicted following persistent rain at the Co. Tipperary venue.

At mid-day the ground description was changed to soft on the hurdle and bumper course and yielding to soft on the chase course.

At declaration time yesterday morning the going was yielding on the hurdle/bumper course and good to yielding on the chase track.

The first on a seven race card at Clonmel gets underway at 2.35pm.

Meanwhile racing tomorrow takes place on the polytrack at Dundalk.

The weather forecast is for rain becoming more persistent later today, clearing to showers tomorrow. A cold snap is predicted for a couple of days beginning on Sunday evening.
