Unsettled weather over the past few days looks set to continue into the weekend meaning some cut in the ground is likely at most meetings.

At present Clonmel is one of the exceptions with the ground currently described as good to firm (good in places) following 2mm of rain overnight.

The 2m4f maiden hurdle has been divided to form an eight-race National Hunt card at the Co. Tipperary venue, with the action commencing at 5.10pm.

Racing also takes place at Navan this evening where the going is yielding (good to yielding in places), and the first on a seven-race Flat card gets underway at 5.20pm.

It’s Flat action all the way at Limerick on Saturday evening, and also at Cork on Sunday where a quality eight-race card includes the Group 3 Noblesse Stakes and the Listed Midsummer Sprint Stakes.

Limerick is currently yielding (good to yielding in places), while Cork is good to yielding on the round course and yielding on the sprint course.

Further rain is forecast to spread up the country from the south today, and may be heavy in places.
