Ground soft at Curragh ahead of opening day

The turf Flat season begins at the Curragh on Sunday and testing conditions look likely for the opening day.

The course issued a going report today and the ground is currently soft after 7mm of rain overnight.

The forecast is mixed for the next few days.

Action is due to get underway at 2.00pm on Sunday and the feature event is the BetVictor Irish Lincolnshire.

There is also Group 3 action on the card with the Lodge Park Stud E.B.F. Park Express Stakes over a mile.
