Group action could now be for Triplicate

We had to do without Savannah Storm in the concluding Ladbrokes Race at Killarney on account of the going. Ballydoyle then looked to have a stranglehold on the four-runner event and so it proved as Triplicate (2/5) led home a one two for the O'Briens.

Donnacha O'Brien kept it simple going from the front on Triplicate, but his sister Ana moved up as a big danger on Bravery inside the final quarter mile.

Talented 3Ib claimer Donnacha always looked happy enough that he'd keep Ana and Bravery at bay, which was achieved at the line to the tune of a length and a quarter.

The gaps to the other two, Highly Toxic and Alpha And Omega were three and a quarter lengths and fifty five lengths.

Out of luck on two of his father Aidan's charges earlier - Tang Dynasty and Schubert - Donnacha said: "I thought I could have a few winners today and thought my first two rides were my best but to get one is good.

"It's not nice having races like that - he's still green out in front but I definitely think he has an engine. I'm not sure how good he is but I think he could be a Group horse.

"Ana's horse (Bravery) has a lot of ability but doesn't seem to be finishing his races and I knew once my lad was coming back a bit, I knew I'd get her."
