Guest Heads York Market Sir Michael Stoute´s Notable Guest has been installed the early favourite for Saturday´s John Smith´s Cup at York.The four-year-old won the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at the Royal meeting over a mile and a half and Coral make him a 100-30 shot to follow up in the 10-furlong contest.Robert Winston has been booked to partner Crow Wood, runner-up in the Royal Ascot at York race, and he is a 10-1 shot with the same firm.Aidan O´Brien´s Mullins Bay is the 4-1 second favourite after finishing second in the Listed Wolferton Handicap over course and distance.Weights are set to go up by at least 3lb after initial top-weight Take A Bow was taken out, along with Putra Pekan, St Andrews and Etesaal.That leaves Michael Jarvis´s Fruhlingssturm to shoulder top weight of 9st 10lb, with local runner and last year´s 10th, Mick Easterby´s Blue Spinnaker, next in the list among 36 to have stood their ground.(C) PA Sport
