Trainer Michael Halford completed a double at Dundalk today as his Claregate Street landed the concluding Meridian Security Irish EBF Fillies Handicap under jockey Conor Hoban.

The four year old daughter of Helmet gained her first career win at Naas last June and today added a second, when beating Faradays law by two and a half lengths.

Halford, earlier successful with Terzetto in the fillies maiden, later reported “she was guaranteed to get the trip which we felt some of them mightn't have been. She had a lovely draw so Conor (Hoban) just kept it simple and used the big, long stride on her. It's nice to get a bracket with her.

"She's a big, big, filly with a good stride on her so we'll see where we go. Maybe she'll go to Killarney now. She was a big lady last year and she was just a shade on the weak side. She has strengthened well over the winter. She is very straighTforward, uncomplicated and genuine.

"Most of the syndicate are from Dublin. They are a very enthusisatic bunch. They have had a few with us over the years so I'm delighted for them. The main man is a man called Brendan Flood - he is well in his eighties and he is a gentleman. He lost his wife last year so it will be a great boost to him."
