Hat Alnasar registered a quick double for trainer Michael Halford when claiming the mile handicap at Dundalk.

Conor Hoban tracked front-runner Grey Danube on the 3/1 shot and he delivered him to lead over a furlong from home.

The consistent performer kept on well in the closing stages to record a length-and-a-quarter success as 11/4 favourite Marise ran on into second.

The winner was recording his third victory at the course and had been placed on his three previous visits to the track.

"He's very consistent and you certainly wouldn't begrudge him that. He's a straight forward ride, and it's nice to see him get his chance,” said Halford.

"He loves it around here and will continue to tip away."

Halford had also claimed the preceding maiden with Ebadan
