Doctor Grace (5/2) was trainer Michael Halford's first win for the Dundalk Racing Club today, getting off the mark at their local course, in the Book Online @ DundalkStadium.com Handicap

Placed on her last two starts, the daughter of Buratino was slowly away but eventually improved to lead in the closing stages for a comfortable win over Knockmoe Prince, providing successful jockey Bill Lee with a double.

Halford commented “Doctor Grace had a poor start the last night, in a grade higher, and got further back than ideal and had to come around them.

"She was back in that grade tonight, we thought it looked good and she had a lovely draw. It worked out lovely for her. A reproduction of any of her last two runs would have done what she did tonight.

"She's game and she tries hard, loves the surface so I am delighted for the Dundalk Racing Club. It is the first horse I've had for them but they are a long time on the go."
