Hamilton & Christie take northern awards Brian Hamilton and David Christie took the chief awards at last night's Racing & Breeding Awards organised by the Northern Region of the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association. Downpatrick-based Hamilton took the trainers award having won the Aintree Foxhunters with Warne. County Fermanagh handler, David Christie landed the leading Point to Point Handler Award for the third time and immediately dedicated the award to longstanding patron of the stable Rodney Watson who passed away suddenly last weekend. The annual event staged at the Beechlawn Hotel again attracted a maximum attendance of breeders, trainers and guests from all sectors of the thoroughbred industry.
