Hamilton ready for Killarney trek Fresh from saddling his first double in Ireland at his local track, Downpatrick trainer Brian Hamilton aims to send Wither Hills on the long journey to Killarney. The eight-year-old gelding hacked up in the Longines World Fegentri (Ladies) Handicap over a mile and a half in the Curragh before contesting the qualified riders' handicap at the Galway Festival in which he finished down the field. Hamilton said: "The owners want to run him at Killarney and I'm looking at a mile and six race. "The two miles at Galway was a bit far for him on the Flat. There are opportunities on the Flat for him at the moment, but I wouldn't rule out going over jumps again. He has come out of Galway well. He doesn't take a lot of racing close together as he likes to be fresh. "The reason we ran him in Galway was because his Curragh win was only a piece of work for him. He got it handy there."
