Handassa aims to get back on track

Kevin Prendergast is looking forward to getting Handassa back on the track in the Dance Design Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

The lightly-raced filly, owned by Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, was last seen in public finishing eighth to Misty For Me in the Irish 1000 Guineas.

She has been waiting for some ease in the ground and Prendergast is also taking the chance of stepping her up from a mile to nine furlongs for this Group Three heat.

"She hasn't run since the Irish Guineas as the ground has been very firm," said the County Kildare trainer.

"We've got quite a lot of rain, so the ground should be OK for her.

"I hope she can run a big race. She was beaten less than six lengths in the Guineas and the extra furlong will help her. She's in good form."
