Dads Lad travelled all over his rivals before putting them away in the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle at Cork.

The 3/1 favourite moved smoothly to the head of affairs after the third last and readily increased his advantage before the last.

He scooted in by two and three quarter lengths for Willie Mullins. Crassus finished second at 5/1 and he was four lengths clear of Sevenna Star (6/1).

Jockey Brian Hayes said: "He had a nice win the last day in Sligo and today was the first day he really settled.

"Over two miles, in a proper handicap, they went a proper gallop and he really settled. For his first run in a handicap he actually jumped great and I'm delighted."
