Hannon proud of Tiggy performance Richard Hannon was proud of Tiggy Wiggy's efforts after the filly produced a brave run to finish third in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. A special juvenile over sprinting trips last season, she had questions to answer after running a dull race on her return in the Fred Darling. However, after blazing a trail, she stuck on gamely in the Classic to finish best of the British in third. Stable companion Osaila has left Hannon scratching his head, though, as she disappointed in finishing only seventh. "I was very proud of Tiggy Wiggy. We were dipping our toes into unknown territory and she came home with her head held high," Hannon said on www.richardhannonracing.co.uk. "You can't say that she didn't stay the mile, but it was only her class which kept her going. We need to make full use of her electric early speed, so it's back to sprinting. "The Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot is the obvious target, and there are far more opportunities available in the second half of the season, races like the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville, the Nunthorpe, Haydock Sprint Cup and Prix de l'Abbaye. It could be an exciting summer. "In contrast, Osaila was disappointing, and Frankie (Dettori) came back and said that she ran flat. We'll freshen her up - we know that she is better than that."
