Happily a possible for Eclipse Aidan O’Brien could let top-class filly Happily take on the boys in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on Saturday. The daughter of Galileo won twice at Group One level as a juvenile and although she has failed to add to her tally so far this season, she finished third in both the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh. She was last seen finishing a half-length fourth behind the Karl Burke-trained Laurens in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly and O’Brien confirmed an appearance in next weekend’s Sandown feature is under serious consideration. Speaking at the Curragh on Sunday, the trainer said: “I have to talk to Ryan (Moore). “I was speaking to John (Magnier of Coolmore) and he was saying we might go there (Sandown) with Happily. “Happily also has an option of going to America on Saturday for a fillies’ race at Belmont (Belmont Oaks Invitational). “Hunting Horn might go for the three-year-old race in Belmont (Belmont Derby Invitational). He was in the Eclipse as well, but they can’t all go and have to split up somewhere. “It’s possible he’ll go to America, instead of the Eclipse, and take on the three-year-old colts. “I think some of the older fillies are in the Eclipse as well but I’m not sure yet about them.” One Ballydoyle inmate who will not be heading to Sandown is Gustav Klimt, who was last seen finishing second to Without Parole in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. O’Brien added: “Gustav Klimt is going to go to Goodwood.”
