Harley Heading To Hong Kong Donegal born jockey Martin Harley will head to Hong Kong next month having being granted a licence from the Hong Kong Jockey Club to ride there from 7th February to 7th May. The 29-year-old has 684 career wins since beginning as an apprentice in Ireland in 2007. Harley won the UK Champion Apprentice title in 2011 with 67 winners but his career almost ended in 2014 when he suffered an horrific fall at Lingfield. The rider broke his neck and several ribs in the Lingfield incident and was sidelined for over three months. Harley will join fellow Irish jockey Neil Callan in Hong Kong. 40-year-old Callan has ridden over 200 winners since arriving there five years ago.
