Feel Happy (4/1) justifies market confidence to score in the Cork Maiden over six furlongs.

The Donnacha O'Brien-trained filly improved with each of her previous starts, and her staying-on fourth last time out gave her every chance today. The application of a first-time tongue tie today was also a positive.

Owned by the Coolmore partners, the daughter of Wootton Bassett was always handy on the near side, and she was the last to come off the bridle inside the final two furlongs.

She picked up under Paddy Harnett and stayed on strongly to deny Grande Cuvee (3/1F) by a head in the dying strides. She's Too Kool was a half-length back in third under Adam Browne-Souza.

"She did it well, she toughed it out in fairness," said O'Brien.

"I was a bit worried with the bit of rain that came but she's improving so I'm delighted.

"She has good pedigree and is a nice-looking filly so it's obviously important to get a win into her.

"We'll see what the handicapper does, what he makes of that.

"She's rated 73 so she's a little bit off getting black-type, even though that's the next goal with a filly like her. Whether she's capable of that, I don't know.

"We'll take her home and make a plan."
