Harty happy to take his time with Minella Foru Eddie Harty will not rush into making a plan for Paddy Power Chase winner Minella Foru. The lightly-raced seven-year-old came with a late run under Barry Geraghty to land the valuable prize, beating Ucello Conti. He has been handed a new handicap mark of 145 and along with owner JP McManus and his racing manager Frank Berry, Harty will weigh up every available option. "It's very rare in this game a long-term plan comes together, but it did with him," said Harty. "He handled the heavy ground and toughed it out, but he definitely prefers it a bit livelier. "I honestly don't know what the plan is now. He had a hard race so the first thing we'll do is freshen him up. "He'll be back in the spring but I'm not sure which route we'll take - if we wanted to we could still go down the novice route. "Obviously a mark of 145 opens up all the top-grade handicaps and the fact he proved his stamina for three miles gives us plenty of options. "He's very versatile, I don't think we want to go further than three miles just yet and we might looks for a graded novice chase, we'll just see."
