Hatton proves a knock-out at Tramore Hatton’s Wood, under Andrew Thornton, put in an excellent round of fencing to make all in winning the Newtown Handicap Chase at Tramore today, for Gorey trainer Philip Redmond. Hatton’s Wood did return to the winners’ enclosure lame but Redmond did mention “fingers crossed he’ll be ok but I think it may just be a muscle problem in his shoulder.” Redmond added “Hatton’s Wood loves good ground and is a serious horse to jump. Provided all is well with him, he’ll go to Downpatrick for another handicap shortly.”
