Ground conditions have improved slightly at Leopardstown but heavy rain is forecast for the Dublin track before racing on Saturday.

Following a dry and breezy 24 hours, the going is now soft to heavy on the hurdle track and yielding to soft on the chase course.

The revised forecast from Met Eireann is now for approximately 35 to 40mm of rain prior to racing. Initial forecasts yesterday suggested between 10 and 20mm.

Multiple videos on X showed areas of the track covered by water on Tuesday but the ground staff were able to clear that, leaving the course raceable yesterday.

Leopardstown have issued positive bulletins subsequently on the prospects of the Dublin Racing Festival going ahead at the weekend.
