Father and daughter, Pat and Sylvia O'Donnell, teamed up with Hemight to win Division ll of the Save 33% Buying Tickets Online Handicap at Gowran Park.

Third at Dundalk on his penultimate start, the four-year-old failed to back that effort up when down the field on soft ground at Cork last time.

Held up in mid division tonight, O'Donnell moved closer on the eventual winner early in the straight.

Making good headway up the far rail, the 14/1 chance headed Bucky Larson over 150 yards out, keeping on well to win by one-and-three-quarter lengths.

Pat O’Donnell said: “His run in Cork was a lot better than the bare form would suggest as he got impeded on the rail.

“Looking at his profile when we acquired him at the start of the season, we said we’d keep him fresh and happy.

“Joey Sheridan was very sweet on him the day he was third in Dundalk and said you have this lad back right again and there should be a day in him and thankfully we have the day today.”
