Having touched 18/1 in the afternoon off-course wagering, Hilly Filly was sent off 17/2 for the four-year-old fillies' bumper at Cork and got the job done under Luke Shanahan.

Dropped out in rear in the two miles, one furlong contest, the Affinisea debutant still had plenty of rivals in front of her early in the straight but, after being switched from the stands' side to the far side of the field, she powered home to beat Honey Buck's by a length and a-quarter.

Fourth home Western Roses went the wrong side of a hurdles' wing a furlong out and was subsequently disqualified and placed last.

The winning trainer is Ross O'Sullivan and his assistant Tom Harney said "Delighted with that, Lee gave her a lovely ride. You'd see the whole way round that she's quite green. We wanted to give her an educational ride and Lee done exactly that.

"She always showed snippets of ability at home, so it's great that she went and done it today. And for Geoff (Angus), this is the second horse he's had in the yard. The first one didn't work out too well! She's a lovely filly and I'm delighted that she's done the job for him."
