Hobbs Mulls Over Knight Plans Philip Hobbs has nominated the Country Gentlemen´s Chase at Wincanton on February 18 as the next probable target for Welsh National casualty One Knight. The 10-year-old former Royal & SunAlliance Chase winner crashed out at the final fence when lying second in the marathon contest, having been off the track since taking the John Hughes Rehearsal Chase in December 2004. Hobbs told At The Races: 'He (One Knight) was a bit sore for a week but he is fine again now. 'He just bruised his shoulder but nothing more than that. 'I am not quite sure where we will go. The Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock will probably come too soon so he will probably run in the County Gentleman´s Chase at Wincanton in February.' One Knight is a possible for the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup, along with stablemate and Stan James King George VI Chase runner-up Monkerhostin. On Monkerhostin, Hobbs added: 'His run at Sandown was a career-best and we are suddenly finding that over three miles he might be in a different league. 'I must say he has surprised me as we ran him at Sandown having a doubt about whether he would get the trip; but he blatantly got it very well.'(C) PA Sport
