Earthsong completes 14/1 double for McCreery and Lee Willie McCreery and Billy Lee completed a double on the evening at Gowran as Earthsong landed the Family Fun Day June 1st Handicap. The Camelot filly had shown promise on both previous outings this season at Navan and opened her account here in decisive fashion. The 9/2 co favourite struck the front early in the straight and kept on strongly inside the final furlong to beat Good Onya Mate, who cut out a lot of the running in this extended 1m5f event, by a length and three-quarters. Sonic Invader was a further two lengths back in third. McCreery said, “She's a big, strong filly just growing into herself. The more time she got, the better. “I had to persuade Kieran (Lawlor, Racing Manager) a little bit to keep going with her and give her a bit of time.” Sanctijude (7/4 fav) initiated the McCreery/Lee double in the mile fillies’ maiden.
