Hogan makes Musselburgh trip Denis Hogan will saddle his first runners at Musselburgh on Friday as he finds potentially realistic targets for Empresario and Benalex Park. The County Tipperary trainer has made a few British raids in the past, without success, and kicks off with Empresario in the Lauderdale Pony Club Maiden Hurdle. He has only managed to win on the Flat so far, which also applies to Benalex Park in the 32Red Casino Handicap Hurdle. "I suppose it was a case of finding an opportunity in a lower grade race," said Hogan. "The ground is as easy as you're going to find at this time of year and both should have chances down in grade. "I've been to Musselburgh before, although I've not had runners. Sadly the couple of times I've been there it has been called off!"
