Home Of The Brave is to be supplemented for the Darley July Cup.

Bought by Godolphin earlier this season, he made his first start in the blue silks a winning one when making all the running at Haydock over seven furlongs.

Targets overseas over a mile were mooted post-race but the slightly surprising decision to drop down in trip has been taken by Sheikh Mohammed and his team, who also sponsor the race.

Home Of The Brave's sire Starspangledbanner won the July Cup in 2010.

Trainer Hugo Palmer said: "I'm very excited about the prospect of trying Home Of The Brave over six furlongs for the first time since his excellent run in last year's Commonwealth Cup.

"He is a bigger, stronger horse now, which I hope, allied to the remarkable speed he's always had, will make him a force to be reckoned with over the distance."

Godolphin are also likely to run the Charlie Appleby-trained Jungle Cat, who was fourth to Profitable in the King's Stand last week.
