Sky Lantern is pleasing connections as she builds up to a return to the track in the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on September 28.

A trip to Hong Kong, where her owner Ben Keswick is based, could also be on the agenda later in the year for the filly, who was fifth to Winsili in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood on her first attempt at a mile and a quarter last time out.

The triple Group One winner, trained by Richard Hannon, showed her wellbeing in a canter on Wednesday morning.

"We have never had a filly who has thrived so much as she has. She now weighs around 495-496 kilos, which is not far off the colts, and she is such a magnificent specimen," head lad Tony Gorman told www.richardhannonracing.co.uk.

"She is having her break after Goodwood, but the plan is the Sun Chariot Stakes and then a trip to Hong Kong, where her owner Ben Keswick lives.

"We would have the option of the mile or 10-furlong race at Sha Tin.

"She would definitely stay the longer trip around there, though if we reverted to the mile, over which she has proved herself a champion, she would get both the age and sex allowance, albeit against the older horses."
