Honour scrapes home in Hinton David Loder continued the fine run of his two-year-olds in the Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket today - but only just.Maiden winner Silent Honor was sent off 30-100 favourite for her step up to Group Two company and looked set to live up to her billing when hitting the front entering the final furlong. But long-time leader Lady High Havens, trained by Paul D`Arcy, refused to go down without a fight and was eventually beaten just a short-head, with many - including Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford - believing the favourite had been beaten.Loder blamed himself for the near defeat of the highly-regarded winner.'I think the soft ground wasn`t ideal and I gave Frankie the wrong instructions,' he said. 'I thought as the ground was a bit softer and they finished tired in the first race, we should hold on to her - we were going to make the running and it is a bad general who changes plans.'I still think she is a very good filly and I am not disappointed at all. She is probably the best filly I have had and I think she could win the Guineas.'Coral quote Silent Honor at just 12-1 for the Sagitta 1000 Guineas but she is available at 25-1 (from 10-1) with Ladbrokes.Earlier Loder had taken the Strutt & Parker Maiden Stakes with the highly regarded Dubai Destination (1-3f).The son of Kingmambo, who suffered a surprise reverse on his debut at Newbury, had to overcome another son of his sire, in newcomer Sohaib, to eventually claim a comfortable three-and-a-half length success.Mutamam made a triumphant return to action in the Princess of Wales` Stakes. The 11/2 chance, who suffered a serious illness during the winter, was always travelling strongly and went to the front two out.Little Rock (8/1) threw down a challenge but could never quite reel-in the leader inside the distance while Holding Court (12/1) held on for third.Winning trainer Alec Stewart was all smiles after the victory.'This was a real team effort, the horse had a stomach infection over the winter and it really knocked him back.'He went in his coat and was lifeless.'We will now sit down and think about targets. He is still in the King George but had a hard prep-race here,' he warned.
